Random Thoughts

I have been on a two week break from writing due to my personal commitments . This opened me up to few things which would have gone unnoticed otherwise. This are my random observations in no particular order or significance.
There is a joy in mundane things which we do and it generally goes unnoticed. I had been travelling in e-rickshaw for last few days and the driver recited some of the most beautiful Kabir verses which I had heard in long time. There is a saying which I liked 'If Your World Is Not Enchanted, You're Not Paying Attention'
Civility and Kindness comes from unexpected quarters and I strongly believe that 'what you give, is what you get'. I did send a note to few people on my forced time-off, but most didn't even acknowledge the note. Stay away from such people who 'pretend'. And as you would have guessed, they are from my workplace. The true nature of person is revealed in adversity and this time it was no different.
All beautiful things in life are free. It takes a lifetime for few to find them. Last Vipassana which I attended, most folks whom i told them about it, won't believe that this would be free and they warned me that I would be forced to pay a huge amount to attend the same. Most people operate with 'scarcity' mindset and it is reflected in their daily lives.
I am starting to appreciate the idea of having 'enough' and not chasing 'more'. I learnt this during Vipassana practice and it has stayed with me.
No one really knows the answer. Very few people know why they thought what they thought. Fascinating people are generally outliers, operate from position of abundance and autonomy. The answer is unique for every person and one has to find its own answer
Family tie is the last thing one breaks during his lifetime. One can be detached from food, clothes, house, cars, money and other luxuries but the last one to go is family.
